Job Title: Principal Electrical Design Engineer, PE

Bloom Energy is seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Design Engineer, PE to join our team in San Jose, California or Newark, Delaware. As a key member of our site design team, you will be responsible for developing conceptual designs and implementation specifications for complex solutions to demonstrate the feasibility of Bloom Energy's product.

This role will involve technical site analysis and conceptual design, interface with City/County/State officials and utilities, and managing customer relationships. You will work closely with a team of engineers, project managers, and construction supervisors to eliminate technical barriers and represent a highly technical product or service related to the power industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of a broad set of engineering and construction solutions, including knowledge of construction, electrical, mechanical applications, low and medium voltage power systems, and electronic principles. Experience working with electrical distribution and power generation design, as well as grid independent infrastructure, is a must.

We are looking for a professional and collaborative individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can drive complex tasks to closure. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop conceptual designs and implementation specifications for complex solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • P.E. license in California
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in power generation and critical load system design with experience stamping drawings/letters
  • Construction and/or facility maintenance experience
  • Experience in power generation installation and design
  • Knowledge and use of AutoCAD & SKM
