Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians in performing nurse procedures for the comfort and well-being of patients, including nurse assessments, medical histories, and lab and diagnostic requests.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless communication and care coordination.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Manage medical records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
- Apply critical thinking skills and consider alternatives to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Develop and maintain human care relationships, understanding the impact of illness and hospitalization on patients and their families.
- Manage self and resources effectively, prioritizing tasks and seeking assistance as needed.
- Incorporate teaching in the delivery of care, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Apply knowledge integration skills to provide age-specific care and address the unique needs of patients.
- Provide administrative support to physicians and nurse practitioners, including scheduling, referrals, and patient communication.
- Licensure by the State of NH as a Registered Nurse.
- Graduate of an approved RN program.
- Current AHA or ARC BCLS certification.
- Experience in an MD office or oncology setting.
- Computer literacy.
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred: Six months experience as an RN in Oncology or phlebotomy skills.
