The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to residents in our long-term care facility. As a CNA, you will be responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their health, welfare, and safety, and promoting a warm and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with serving meals and feeding, providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
- Provide personal hygiene assistance, including bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves, as well as assistance with travel to the bathroom and showers.
- Maintain resident stability by checking vital signs and weight, recording intake and output, and reporting observations to the nursing supervisor.
- Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records, and protect resident privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including adhering to professional standards, company policies, and procedures, and all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state of practice.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Long-term care experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
The physical demands of this role include sitting, standing, bending, and walking regularly, as well as lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
