Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CDL A Route Driver to join our team at Stericycle. As a CDL A Route Driver, you will be responsible for providing industry-leading levels of service to assigned Shred-it locations and their respective transfer stations/accounts, utilizing a Tractor Trailer combination unit or straight truck.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport shredded confidential material from Shred-it locations to transfer locations or processing locations, ensuring compliance with all DOT, local, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Manage assigned routes to ensure customer needs are met on a continual basis for various shredded confidential document pickup and supply delivery.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts, communicating any issues to the Transportation Manager/Supervisor or Dispatcher for resolution.
  • Perform onsite/offsite document destruction of confidential information.
  • Operate company equipment in a safe and efficient manner to minimize the risk of injury and equipment damage.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws governing driver fitness and hours of service.
  • Complete and maintain DOT logs when applicable.
Requirements
  • 1 or more years of current experience, preferably in driving Tractor Trailer GVW 80K lbs. and able to pull a towed weight exceeding 10,000 lbs.
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records as required by federal regulation.
What We Offer

Stericycle welcomes non-native English speakers and offers a competitive compensation package, including a starting pay rate of $23.00 per hour with overtime pay after 40 hours.
