Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist or Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our team at Mid-Michigan Area Public Schools Consortium. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations of referred students, providing consultation and support to teachers and staff, and developing and implementing individualized education plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychological evaluations of students using multiple assessment methods and tools
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans to support student learning and behavior
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff on learning and behavioral difficulties
  • Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss student progress and develop strategies for support
  • Lead or attend problem-solving meetings to develop and implement interventions for individual or groups of students
  • Complete and maintain state and district required special education paperwork
  • Other duties as assigned to support students in the school setting
Requirements
  • Master's (MA or MS) or Educational Specialist (EdS) degree in school psychology or equivalent
  • Currently certified or eligible for certification as a Full or Preliminary School Psychologist by the Michigan Department of Education and/or fully certified or eligible for certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) through Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB)
  • Have completed required internship hours with school-age persons pursuant to certification requirements
  • Meets competency requirements as set forth in the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE)
  • Has an electronic fingerprint clearance from a criminal history record check
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of current research and theory in school psychology and behavior analysis
