Job Title: Truck Driver CDL A

Deliver and distribute finished doors to assigned customers with precision and care. Ensure safe loading, handling, and transportation of undamaged door units and/or related products. Drive a commercial vehicle to destination, adhering to commercial driving regulations and demonstrating skill in maneuvering the vehicle in challenging situations. Complete necessary paperwork and relay any customer questions or complaints to a supervisor. Inspect for any defects or problems that might arise before and after trips and submit reports indicating the truck's condition. Maintain the vehicle in a safe operating condition, including servicing with fuel, oil, and water. Maintain applicable logs and records according to DOT regulations, Record of Duty Status (RODS). Assist associates in loading and unloading trucks or building loads as needed. Secure cargo for transit. Maintain a clean truck and a clean work area. Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL)
  • Ability to safely operate transportation equipment (i.e., tractor/trailer combinations)
  • Two (2) years truck driving experience
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and BC driver qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Flatbed experience
  • Knowledge of building products and forklift experience
