About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to lead our Modular Housing team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for driving innovative design initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and guide a diverse team to achieve project objectives through collaboration and creativity.
  • Quality Control: Uphold our commitment to excellence by ensuring all designs meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource management.
  • Client Engagement: Develop strong relationships with clients, actively understanding and addressing their needs throughout the design process.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of the design process for compliance and future reference.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to current building codes and regulations.
  • Design Review: Conduct comprehensive reviews focusing on health and safety standards to safeguard project integrity.
  • Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and address design-related challenges with effective, innovative solutions.
Requirements
  • Industry Experience: Extensive experience in Modular Housing and Manufacturing, with a background as a Design Manager, Architect, or Structural Engineer.
  • Production Prints Expertise: Proficient in handling production Blueprints, including editing, auditing, and documentation preparation.
  • Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work effectively across Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success in leading design teams and fostering a collaborative environment.
Additional Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with InDesign, UI Design, AutoCAD, CAD, HTML, CSS, and Agile Methodologies is advantageous.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong collaborative and negotiation skills, with a focus on driving project design initiatives.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively to enhance organizational transformation.
Compensation

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
