Occupational Therapist Job Description

A leading school is seeking an experienced or newly graduated Occupational Therapist to join their team for a permanent assignment.

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing patients who require rehabilitation services, including:

  • Providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, and restrictions.
  • Establishing and administering a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the physician.
  • Setting realistic and achievable goals for patients, documenting and recording their condition, and educating patients and families in an appropriate occupational therapy method.

The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited school and possess a current state license as an Occupational Therapist or be in the process of obtaining licensure.

Requirements include:

  • Graduation from an accredited school.
  • Current state license as an Occupational Therapist or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Current CPR certification.

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders, assessing patient needs, planning for, evaluating, and modifying care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions, and collaborating with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.
