We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Three Saints Bay, LLC. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating complex submarine control systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Meet with program management teams to review, update, and report project performance.
- Perform on-site support of submarine SCS and execute the duties of ISEA.
- Maintain knowledge and experience in overseeing the development, integration, test, evaluation, and certification of existing and new submarine Fly-By-Wire (FBW) SCS designs.
- Provide support to technical assistance teams in troubleshooting and repair of SCS.
- Maintain qualifications as Alteration Installation Teams (AIT) supporting SCS upgrades and alterations.
- Coordinate with Shipbuilders, Lead Design Yards, and Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP) engineers/technicians to support new construction, overhaul, maintenance, test, and repair of submarine FBW SCS.
- Maintain knowledge in hardware and software test and inspection methods and requirement verification, validation, and quality assurance methods.
- Ensure fleet problem reports against these systems are acted upon and solutions proposed in a timely manner and participate in FBW process development and execution.
- Participate in modernization teams, as necessary, to coordinate and develop the appropriate system upgrades and ensure other interfacing systems maintain compliance with existing interface specification and coordinate proposed interface changes.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering, Physics, Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Information Systems field.
- 7 – 10 years of professional experience in areas relating to Ship Control Systems ISEA activities.
- Have an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Knowledge of Submarine Development and Construction.
- Knowledge of function operation of Submarine Ship Control Systems and forward electronics.
- Knowledge of principles and techniques of Test and Evaluation Program Management.
- Ability to monitor and coordinate work efforts of a large group of Navy and contractor engineers/technicians, develops project tasking and funding profiles, long term implementation plans and schedules.
- Ability to use complex interactive computer-based systems.
- Ability to provide In-Service Support of Submarine Ship Control Systems.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of US Navy Logistical Support System.
- Knowledge in program management of complex software intensive systems involving contractor developed and government furnished software products.
- Ability to interact and communicate with Navy and Design Yard/Shipbuilder Technical and Program Management principals and provide in-depth assessment of the development of complex submarine control systems.
- Previous experience as US Navy submariner preferred.
- Intermediate/Advanced in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills; Team player.
- Ability to meet deadlines on assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Multi-task oriented and capable of prioritizing.
