Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the Purchasing Department, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and developing strategies to reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the day-to-day activities of the Purchasing department, assigning responsibilities and managing workloads.
  • Perform Buyer functions, including negotiating with suppliers and managing supplier relationships.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities and develop strategies to implement them.
  • Train Purchasing team members in purchasing skills, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and ensure compliance with Purchasing policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Lead the preparation of Purchasing's cost and delivery information for sales requests.
  • Support other Supply Chain personnel as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field (preferred) or Associate's degree or minimum of 6 years' experience in a sourcing and/or purchasing role in an ISO certified manufacturing environment (required).
  • Industry certification such as Institute for Supply Management CPSM (preferred) or Association for Supply Chain Management CSCP.
  • Expert in utilizing ERP Systems (Global Shop – preferred).
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members and suppliers.
  • Negotiation and intermediate contracting skills.
  • Strong PC and MS Office suite skills with advanced working knowledge of Excel, familiarity with Power BI.
