Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to support the development of complex future space systems, leveraging model-based systems engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a dynamic team to design and integrate systems, ensuring seamless integration and effective decision-making.

Responsibilities


Collaborate with a team of space system experts to develop models of complex future space systems, including system architecture and behavior using systems modeling languages such as SysML and UAF.

Assess engineering artifacts and develop models of mission systems using Digital Engineering and MBSE concepts and tools, such as DOORS Next Generation and Cameo.

Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and other engineering working groups to review and assess the maturity of engineering artifacts, including concept of operations (CONOPs), system interfaces, functional allocation, and data models.

Collaborate in the development of architecture and requirement baselines, establishing and assessing mission capabilities.

Provide meeting coordination, technical consultation, and system development to assist customer decision-makers.

Qualifications


Active TS/SCI with polygraph.

2-4 years of experience with a BS/BA, 1-3 years of experience with a MS/MA technical degree (engineering, engineering technology management, or related STEM field).

Familiarity with space systems engineering capabilities.

Familiarity with digital engineering concepts.

Professional written and oral communication skills.

Desired:

Experience with MBSE and Agile Development methods.

Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo and DOORS.

Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as SysML, UAF, Python, Java, and C++.

Experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD).
