Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist in Home Health is responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, and adaptive equipment. You will provide services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws, using evidence-based techniques, and in coordination with other members of the healthcare team.

  • Evaluate patient functional status and occupational therapy needs, consulting with physicians to develop therapy plans of care.
  • Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to nurse supervisors and physicians.
  • Conduct patient assessments using diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests.

Qualifications

License Requirements

  • Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of employment.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
