Position Overview

The Guest Room Specialist collaborates with the Housekeeping Management Team to maintain cleanliness in guest accommodations and public areas, ensuring adherence to brand standards for quality and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Uphold the promise of exceptional service in all interactions with guests and clients, in line with company standards.
  • Address guest inquiries and special requests, taking necessary actions to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Thoroughly clean and prepare assigned rooms or areas following established protocols, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and managing waste.
  • Inform supervisors upon completion of cleaning tasks to facilitate room availability for guests. Report any rooms that cannot be serviced as per procedures.
  • When assigned to laundry duties, oversee laundry supplies and equipment, ensuring they are operational. Operate washing machines and dryers according to established guidelines. Inspect soiled linens for damage and fold clean linens appropriately.
  • Conserve supplies and amenities in all housekeeping areas.
  • Occasionally assist with deep cleaning initiatives.
  • Report maintenance needs or safety hazards to supervisors.
  • Manage lost and found items in accordance with established protocols.
  • Foster teamwork and quality service through effective communication and coordination with other shifts and management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all levels.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in housekeeping is preferred.
  • Experience in the extended stay hospitality sector is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is preferred; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills are preferred.
  • Ability to frequently stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move throughout the facility.
  • Capability to lift or carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Regular use of commercial cleaning agents is required.
  • Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary.
