Position Overview:

The Junior Biostatistics Analyst plays a crucial role in providing statistical expertise to institutional personnel engaged in clinical or experimental research initiatives, as well as to other researchers as designated by collaborative agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer statistical and/or epidemiological insights to institutional researchers involved in basic, translational, clinical, and/or population science investigations as specified by collaboration areas.
  • Conduct data quality assurance and control, manage data, and perform programming for data preparation, alongside statistical and/or epidemiological evaluations utilizing standard statistical software.
  • Execute standard statistical and/or epidemiological assessments and compile analysis reports that include graphical and tabular presentations, descriptions of methodologies employed, interpretation of results, and valid inferences.
  • Operate under the general supervision of a faculty member or designated representative.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to fulfill the objectives of the department and institution.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Prior experience with the analysis and interpretation of human genetic and other omics data is preferred.

Educational Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or a related discipline is required.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum Requirement: A Bachelor's degree accompanied by 2+ years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience Exception: A Master's degree with no prior experience is acceptable.

Compensation Information:

In accordance with U.S. state and municipal pay transparency regulations, St. Jude provides a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This estimate is offered in good faith, and specific salary offers will consider various factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other organizational needs. Typically, individuals are not hired at or near the top of the salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for the Junior Biostatistics Analyst role is $78,000 - $139,360 annually.
