Job Overview

Position: ASME Welder

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:30 am - 3:30 pm

Compensation: $30.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute layout and welding of carbon steel and stainless-steel vessels utilizing GMAW (MIG), FCAW (flux core), and SMAW (submerged arc) techniques.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, safety regulations, and security protocols.
  • Follow directives from the Production Supervisor diligently.
  • Maintain alignment with the established company work schedule.
  • Interpret construction drawings accurately to layout and fabricate pressure vessels through welding.
  • Deliver welds that meet visual inspection standards and pass x-ray or other required nondestructive testing.
Qualifications
  • Must successfully complete the welding test as stipulated by ASME code.
  • Capable of operating an overhead crane.
  • Proficient in safely operating a forklift.
  • Employ critical thinking skills to address and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Proficient in English, with the ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematics.
  • Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 80 lbs.
  • Skilled in using hands and fingers to handle or operate tools and equipment.
Preferred Experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational background.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant welding experience.
