We offer personal care, palliative care, and hospice services to give people the care they need with dignity, grace, and love. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of patients and their families, providing emotional support and physical assistance as needed.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Report directly to the Administrator, Executive Director or Patient Care Manager Senior and function under the direction, instruction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or Clinical Supervisor.
+ Help the patient maintain good personal hygiene.
+ Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
+ Prepare and serve light meals.
+ Assist in feeding the patient when needed.
+ Assist the patient in ambulation.
+ Assist with the safe use of a walker or wheelchair as taught and supervised by the nurse.
+ Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as emptying trash and changing linens.
+ Assist with certain treatments as ordered on the aide plan of care and as allowable in state-specific regulations.
+ Promote patient's mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest.
+ Provide basic emotional and psychological support to the patient and other members of the household.
**Requirements:**
- Compassionate and kind attitude towards patients and their families.
- Comfortable providing care in various settings, including homes and assisted living facilities.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and composure while supporting others in a time of crisis.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Six months of patient care experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology strongly preferred.
- Additional experience in hospital staff RN, Med Surg, PACU, Float pool, ER or emergency room, critical care, acute care, cardiac, geriatric, admissions, wound care, telemetry, nursing home, or travel.
