Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Psychiatric Specialist to join our team at Horizon Behavioral Health. As a key member of our Child Services department, you will provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for children and adolescents.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to diagnose and treat mental health conditions in children and adolescents
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination
  • Provide medication management and therapy services to patients and their families
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
Requirements
  • Licensure as a Board Certified General and Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist
  • Minimum of five years of experience providing psychiatric care to individuals with mental health diagnoses
  • Knowledge of community mental health and public health principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
