Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team at Soliant. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting the academic achievement, social-emotional well-being, and mental health of our diverse student population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
  • Develop Individualized Plans: Collaborate with educators, parents, and community partners to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with diverse needs.
  • Provide Counseling and Support: Offer counseling, crisis intervention, and therapeutic support to students experiencing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges.
  • Administer and Interpret Assessments: Administer and interpret standardized assessments to identify learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other psychological factors impacting student learning and behavior.
  • Support Teachers and Staff: Support teachers in implementing evidence-based interventions and strategies to address the diverse learning needs of students in the classroom.
  • Consult and Collaborate: Serve as a consultant and resource to school staff on topics related to positive behavior support, social-emotional learning, and mental health promotion.
  • Participate in Multidisciplinary Meetings: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to develop intervention plans and support strategies for students with disabilities.
Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree: Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement.
  • National Certification: National Certification as a School Psychologist (NCSP) preferred.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a school or educational setting preferred.
  • Strong Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, intervention strategies, and educational laws and regulations. Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
