Medical Examiner
We are seeking a skilled Medical Examiner to join our team at MRG Exams. As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for performing medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
The successful candidate will review medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct in-person physical exams on each Veteran. They will then document the exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.
It is essential to note that the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant does not make disability determinations; rather, this role solely performs Disability Assessments on Veterans. The position does not involve treating or prescribing medication.
A typical day for this role would consist of conducting 3-5 patient assessments per day, working within a set schedule during normal business hours with no on-call requirements. All work is performed in a clinical setting.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess excellent time management skills, analytical abilities, and proficiency in using a computer. A current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license is also mandatory, along with meeting the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
In exchange for their expertise, candidates can expect a competitive daily rate of $450+, comprehensive health insurance options, and continued support provided by MRG Exams.
