Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnology Specialist to join our team at Della Infotech. As a key member of our Pathology Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate diagnosis of cytological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform specialized cytological examinations to determine pathological conditions, adhering to established accreditation guidelines and quality control standards.
  2. Refer appropriate cases for hierarchical review, recording classifications on slides and alerting pathologists to abnormal cell structures for further examination.
  3. Assist with coordinating FNA Procedure schedules between Endoscopy and Radiology areas, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  4. Attend FNA Procedures and perform fine needle aspiration Rapid On-Site Evaluations in a timely fashion, providing an adequacy assessment to the performing physician.
  5. Process and prepare FNA ROSE specimens for examination, maintaining proper record keeping and labeling of slides and specimens.
  6. Triaging ancillary testing as needed, ensuring timely and accurate results.
  7. Operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  8. Prepare and maintain Cytology inventory, checking stock levels and anticipating supply needs.
  9. Collect data and prepare management reports of technological findings, summarizing information for stakeholders.
  10. Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste, and other policies and protocols.
Requirements
  • 2+ Years of Experience - Required
  • Experienced in attending Fine Needle Aspirations to provide Rapid On-Site procedure coverage and specimen adequacy evaluations - Required
  • Able to perform both primary and QC screening - Required
  • Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) - Required
  • Travel - Preferred

  • BLS (AHA)
