Licensed Practical Nurse

The LPN Nursing Team Member is accountable for performing professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process. Coordinates care in an interdisciplinary manner and is accountable for all residents assigned to him/her according to established nurse practice act. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department. Promotes and nurtures Avera's philosophy of a resident centered care environment.
Responsibilities
Perform professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process
Coordinate care in an interdisciplinary manner
Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development
Provide care for the population served in the department
Requirements
Graduation from an accredited school of licensed practical nursing
Geriatric, medical, or surgical experience preferred
Current license to practice nursing in the State of South Dakota
BLS certification required
Work Schedule
Evening shifts; 32 hours every 2 weeks
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Every other weekend and holiday
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. The actual hourly rate is dependent upon experience.
$22.50 - $31.25 per hour
