As a Corrections Deputy with the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of inmates and staff within the correctional facility. Key tasks include escorting inmates, conducting searches, monitoring security, and participating in facility transports.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree or 60 equivalent hours from an accredited college or university
• Wonderlic Basic Skills Test
• Pass a comprehensive background investigation, polygraph examination, medical examinations, drug and tobacco screening, and psychological examination

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• No tattoos on the head, scalp, face, neck, or hands
• No use of illegal drugs within the last 12 months
