We are currently seeking a Groundhand to join our dedicated team. This role involves supporting aerial crews in various tasks related to line maintenance, repair, and construction. ADB Companies is recognized for our exceptional workplace culture, job stability, opportunities for career advancement, and top-tier vehicles and equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Engage in various aerial construction activities, including the preparation and assembly of line apparatus.
2. Utilize equipment for the installation of ground rods and anchors.
3. Assist in the hoisting of aerial poles and operate various construction machinery.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, ensuring job site tidiness.
5. Manage vehicle inventory based on daily work assignments.
6. Safely operate hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lashers, and chainsaws.
7. Ensure job site safety by establishing a secure perimeter with signage, cones, and safety barriers; flagging traffic as necessary.
8. Perform heavy lifting and manipulation of lasher and other cable placement equipment.
9. Carry out additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Work Environment:
- Must be capable of working in various physical positions, including climbing, sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
- Regular exposure to diverse weather conditions, including hot, humid, and rainy environments, along with indoor work in climate-controlled settings.
- Potential exposure to distracting sounds or noise levels at project sites.
- Required to wear standard protective safety equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and safety boots.
Experience and Education:
- Entry-level manual labor position; prior construction experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
