Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Student Records Specialist to join our team at College of the Mainland. As a key member of our Admissions and Records Office, you will be responsible for performing complex technical and specialized office support work, including data entry, record keeping, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Import and process admissions applications, determining student testing requirements for admissions.
  • Scan and input testing and transfer information from incoming high school and college transcripts for new and currently enrolled students.
  • Process demographic changes to student records, run continuing education and credit transcripts, and process transcript evaluations for incoming transfer students.
  • Provide front counter support as needed, resolve duplicate student accounts, and process meningitis shot records.
  • Assist in the Student Help Center as needed, answering phones and emails throughout the day.
Requirements

Successful candidates will possess a strong understanding of office practices and procedures, including record keeping and data entry. Familiarity with Colleague/Ellucian, Excel, and Informer reporting is also preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a bachelor's degree and experience in an Admissions and Records Office environment or similar being preferred.

Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, with frequent use of computers and other office equipment. Physical demands include standing, walking, and repetitive motions, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
