Senior Mortgage Banker

Renasant Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mortgage Banker to join our team. As a key member of our mortgage banking department, you will be responsible for originating and closing residential mortgage loans in a designated service area.

• Establish and maintain relationships with branch managers, Realtors, and builders to generate production of residential mortgage loans.
• Originate all types of one to four family residential loans, including conforming, conventional, FHA, and VA loans.
• Maintain written goals and coordinate loan production throughout the assigned service area.
• Report monthly on calls made to banks, Realtors, and builders, and communicate with the Mortgage Banking department on program changes and updates.
• Counsel and communicate with prospective borrowers to determine suitable loan products.
• Schedule appointments, gather supporting documentation, and prepare Good Faith Estimates and Truth-In-Lending statements.
• Provide weekly written reviews to Realtors on loan progress and educate branch personnel on conforming loan requirements.
• Establish priority accounts, visit offices regularly, and conduct seminars for local Realtors and associates on lending topics.
• Perform all duties in compliance with state and federal regulations and internal policies.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years of mortgage origination/banking experience.
• Ability to originate one to four family residential mortgage products.
• Thorough knowledge of FHLMC/FNMA, FHA, VA, and other general mortgage banking lending procedures and requirements.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and to deal cordially with the public.
• Ability to organize time effectively and learn regulatory directives and procedures quickly.
