About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Main Street Renewal. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, providing exceptional customer service to our residents, and contributing to the overall success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and repair property issues identified by residents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including property walks, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, the Austin Support Center, and maintenance team members regarding repair status and completion.
  • Document all completed work by taking before and after photos.
  • Track supplies and tool usage for restocking and servicing.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to MS Renewal residents.
  • Assist peers as needed and provide resources to support team success.
  • Continuously learn and grow to develop skills and knowledge in all aspects of the Maintenance Technician position.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Service-minded approach to all aspects of the job.
  • Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience with a single-family or multi-family property management company.
  • Vocational/technical school and/or college considered a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of building and property management codes.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, lock key, and general household repairs.
  • Good communication and written skills.
  • Great organizational and customer service/satisfaction philosophy.
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license.
  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
