Job Summary

The Environmental Services Associate-Maintenance is responsible for assisting in the general operational maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the Community's physical plant. This role requires excellent mechanical skills, understanding of HVAC systems, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and the Environmental Services Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance work, including light, electrical, painting, and carpentry tasks
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment and systems
  • Replenish and maintain supply levels in work areas
  • Ensure all tools, work areas, and equipment are clean, in proper working order, and properly stored
  • Conduct daily inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to determine necessary maintenance and repairs
  • Help maintain a preventative maintenance log on all mechanical systems
  • Establish and manage a preventative maintenance schedule
  • Participate in in-service training and maintain confidentiality of all pertinent Resident care information
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required
  • Knowledge of maintenance and housekeeping policies and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions in the Community
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Basic familiarity with computers
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Physically able to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 60 pounds if necessary
