Anesthesiology Practitioner

Position Overview:

As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Anesthesiology Practitioner will operate under the supervision of a qualified Staff Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during surgical procedures. This role involves continuous monitoring of patients' responses to anesthesia and the implementation of emergency interventions when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document relevant medical histories.
• Collaborate with the anesthesiologist to formulate and discuss the anesthetic plan prior to the administration of anesthesia.
• Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations and ensure all necessary preparations are completed.
• Administer anesthetic agents and monitor patients throughout the surgical process.
• Recognize and respond to any adverse reactions during anesthesia, providing necessary interventions.
• Facilitate post-anesthesia recovery and ensure patients are stable before discharge.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in the administration of anesthesia.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited anesthesiologist assistant training program.
• Certification from the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants.
• Valid Anesthesiologist Assistant license in the state of Florida, along with BLS and ACLS certifications.
