Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Express Care Clinic team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in an ambulatory setting.
Job Duties- Provide primary clinical support to providers, patients, and their families to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
- Follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in medical records.
- Promote a clean environment and meet qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age ranges.
- Obtain and document patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provide basic medical data for providers.
- Provide direct clinical care as directed by providers.
- Assist providers in performance of minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork.
- Execute and document ongoing patient communication, prioritize communication to providers, and respond to patient questions and requests.
- Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a provider and per scope of practice.
- Clean and set up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring required levels of asepsis and availability of instruments and equipment.
This position qualifies for a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over two years. Certain stipulations apply.
Enjoy an excellent schedule for work-life balance, working 7 days out of 14 days. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 8 PM, and Saturday/Sunday, 7:30 AM to 6 PM. Every other weekend is included in the schedule.
Limited travel is required for potential coverage in another clinic.
