The Flexo Press Operator is tasked with the setup and operation of the printing press to manufacture labels and related products.

This role includes onsite training and the opportunity to acquire a valuable skill set in the printing sector. Employees can expect unlimited growth potential and the chance to advance their careers continuously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interprets job orders and prepares dies for the press, installs print cylinders, and loads them into the machine.
  • Prepares ink pans, screens, and pumps with specified inks.
  • Operates the press, adjusting speed and alignment of materials as needed.
  • Engages print cylinders, fine-tuning printing impressions, and runs approval strips for quality checks.
  • Samples approval strips from printed rolls, inspecting for defects such as misalignment, missing impressions, or color inconsistencies, making necessary adjustments.
  • Maintains cleanliness of plates, print cylinders, and dies, performing regular maintenance as required.
  • Mixes inks to achieve and maintain desired colors and viscosity.
  • Ensures work areas are organized and adheres to housekeeping standards.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred: A minimum of one year of experience operating a flexographic printing press.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and measurements using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting rulers, scales, and other measurement tools.
  • Regularly required to stand and frequently walk while performing job duties.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
