The role of the Travel Nurse RN focuses on delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic Emergency Room setting. This position is ideal for experienced nurses who thrive in high-pressure environments and are looking to enhance their professional journey.
Certification Requirements- Mandatory Certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
- Function as a Registered Nurse within the Emergency Room.
- Specialize in Emergency Room care.
- Work within a Trauma Level II facility, managing a diverse patient population including cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory cases.
- Handle a manageable patient load of 3-4 patients per nurse in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate resilience and adaptability in managing changes and completing tasks efficiently.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of travel nursing experience required.
- Experience in Trauma Level II settings is essential.
- Proficiency in EPIC charting is necessary.
- 12-hour shifts available with options for straight PMs, straight nights, or a combination of both.
- Potential to float to other locations as needed.
- On-call requirements include 12 hours within a 6-week timeframe, with a 30-minute response time.
- Availability for every other weekend and holiday is expected.
- Work in a certified Trauma Level II unit with 18 beds.
- Utilize Epic for computer charting and Pyxis for medication dispensing.
- RNs are responsible for drawing labs and administering neb treatments, with respiratory therapy available on-site.
- Contract duration is set for 13 weeks.
- Scrub colors are flexible.
- GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation; however, set hours are assured weekly, excluding holidays when the unit may be closed.
