The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to join our Pediatric Cardiac ICU team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients with a wide range of congenital and acquired heart diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough initial and ongoing physical examinations, including psychological assessments.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies.
- Provide education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers on current care and preventive health measures.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and apply evidence-based best practices to patient care.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or higher in nursing or a related field.
- Acute Care Certification or equivalent.
- Experience in pediatric cardiology or ICU preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
