We are currently seeking a qualified associate attorney with around 3 years of litigation experience, particularly those with a background in civil litigation who are eager to pivot into the field of Elder Law and Trusts. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to advance their career in a meaningful way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing legal counsel and representation for clients in trust and estate administration and litigation matters.
  • Advising and representing clients in guardianship proceedings.
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and all necessary litigation documents.
  • Creating wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and living wills.
  • Making court appearances for estate and guardianship matters.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law institution.
  • Licensed to practice law in New York.
  • Approximately 3 years of litigation experience.
  • Familiarity with New York State Electronic Filing (NYSCEF) requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to establish rapport with clients and colleagues.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, with a range up to $125,000.00.
