Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Midwife to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a Certified Midwife, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including routine check-ups, prenatal care, and delivery assistance.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify potential health risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in midwifery.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Certified Midwife in New York State.
  • Doctorate or Master's degree in Midwifery from an accredited program.
  • Prescriptive privileges and DEA certificate.
  • Previous experience as a Certified Midwife preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
