Job Responsibilities and QualificationsThe Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist, as part of the procedural team, delivers technical services and support for diagnostic and interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular, and interventional radiology procedures for adult patients. Responsibilities include monitoring and documenting cases, preparing for procedures, assisting physicians, managing cases, troubleshooting clinical equipment during procedures, and maintaining sterile techniques. The specialist must thrive in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with the team. On-call rotations may be required.
Required Qualifications:- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Certification as a Registered Vascular Technician (RVT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Vascular Lab Technician, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech), or Certified Vascular Interventional Radiology must be achieved within one year of employment.
- State of Florida Registered Radiologic Technologist certification.
- Minimum of one year of experience in diagnostic or interventional cardiology or peripheral vascular; 1-2 years of cath lab experience preferred.
- Associate Degree or completion of a Vocational Program.
