Job Summary
The Classroom Assistant & Lab Assistant is a part-time, 19-hour-or-less per week position that provides support to the course instructor to ensure the effective delivery of the required materials and to foster a positive learning environment. Roles may vary depending on the course.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with classroom instruction and preparation of laboratory materials.
- Obtain and distribute course materials as needed.
- Complete forms and submit reports in accordance with department procedures.
- Operate office equipment, such as copiers, PCs, and/or phone systems.
- Work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision.
- May assist with special projects and events.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check with fingerprinting.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to work inclusively in a diverse setting.
- Maintain confidentiality, be punctual, and communicate changes in work schedule in advance.
