Behavioral Health Nurse

Join ECHN as a Behavioral Health Nurse and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in our Behavioral Health Units. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively to provide comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of patient condition and care needs
- Develop and revise individualized treatment plans as indicated by assessment and patient response to treatment
- Evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness and involve patients and families in the formulation of goals
- Follow the five medication rights and reduce the potential for medication errors
- Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and promotes positive patient outcomes
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) upon hire and maintain clinical competency during employment
- Training in PMT and de-escalation techniques, as prescribed by ECHN, and receive certification within 6 months of hire
- Ability to communicate effectively using the English language in both verbal and writing situations
- Basic computer skills and ability to work at both Manchester Memorial Hospital and Rockville General Hospital
