Key Responsibilities- Circulation Duties: Register new patrons, check items in and out, collect overdue fines and fees, perform basic financial transactions, and troubleshoot minor problems with patron accounts.

- Shelving and Retrieval: Sort books, publications, and other items according to established procedures, and retrieve items from library stacks.
- Programming and Events: Assist with the preparation of creative book displays, and participate in various library programs and events.
- Technical Support: Assist patrons with the use of self-checkout terminals, coin machines, and self-service holds.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: No experience required, but some work or volunteer experience in a library or customer service setting is preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of general computer technology, trends, and applications; ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply regulations, procedures, and related information.
The employee works in a library environment, and job duties require working an assigned schedule, which could be a combination of mornings, afternoons, and evening work, as well as weekends, at various locations, including the main branch and other branch libraries.
