Key Responsibilities
  • Security Oversight: Ensure that all associates follow established security standards and protocols, and provide oversight of user security access setup, network security access administration, and monitoring of data system usage to safeguard company information.
  • Security Reviews and Modeling: Conduct security reviews and define security models for new systems, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of security and compliance.
  • Security Product Analysis: Analyze and recommend security products based on their performance, ensuring that they meet the company's security needs.
  • Compliance and Auditing: Audit access to mission-critical applications, maintain compliance documentation for SOX and PCI, and analyze and review annual SOX and other compliance reports.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with different teams within the IT department to discuss, analyze, or resolve usability issues, ensuring that all systems are secure and functioning properly.
  • Project Management: Work on 1-3 mid to large-scale projects concurrently, assigned from department and group senior leadership, and ensure that they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Mentorship: Mentor Security Administrators and Offshore Contractors, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Security Architecture: Define, implement, communicate, and update security architecture for multiple computing platforms, operating systems, data networks, applications, and client software, ensuring that they meet the company's security needs.
  • Security Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, communicate, and update security policies and procedures for hardware, software, and network infrastructure, ensuring that they are comprehensive and effective.
  • Security Tools and Monitoring: Develop, implement, and maintain tools for effective security administration and monitoring compliance IT security policies and procedures as well as detection of attempted security breaches and intrusion.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop, test, and update disaster recovery plans to ensure that plans achieve desired results in protecting company assets and plans meet corporate risk and business resumption goals.
  • Security Awareness and Training: Develop training material to be used to develop awareness within the corporation of security policies, procedures, best practices, and other issues as needed.
  • Cloud Security Fundamentals: Have a detailed understanding of Cloud Security fundamentals, including cryptography and the shared responsibility model.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and best practices.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
