The SVP of Strategic Partnerships will oversee the enhancement of business operations within our Department of Defense (DoD) sectors.

The ideal candidate will formulate and execute our DoD business initiatives, particularly focused on the Air Force, Space Force, relevant laboratories, agencies, and service intelligence centers, aimed at broadening Altamira's footprint.

This role demands a candidate who excels in a setting where they are accountable for managing and executing the complete business development lifecycle across numerous concurrent pursuits and proposals.

Successful applicants will have previously held positions as a business development manager or capture manager, demonstrating proven experience in supporting DoD clientele.

The candidate will engage with clients and internal Altamira teams to identify and validate opportunities, develop technical strategies, and prepare management presentations to support pursue/no pursue and bid/no bid decisions, ultimately leading to a comprehensive multi-year pipeline and successful proposals.

The candidate is expected to be a vital collaborator with the DoD account leads and solution architects.

Key Responsibilities:

Enhance the opportunity pipeline to encompass existing and adjacent markets through proactive and timely identification and qualification of new business prospects.

Implement advanced business development strategies to achieve corporate growth objectives for both market share and revenue.
Identify and deploy strategies for entering new customer markets while also expanding within the current customer base.
Recognize customer requirements and ensure profitable solution-oriented selling to boost revenue and foster value-added relationships.
Facilitate collaboration across the organization to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients and maximize win probabilities.
Comprehend and address customer needs and goals by engaging and educating potential and existing clients on Altamira's capabilities.
Conduct monthly comprehensive pipeline reviews with senior leadership.
Act as a thought leader in bid decisions and gate reviews.
Assist in establishing relevant budgets and forecasts based on opportunity identification and market dynamics.
Lead partnership strategies and contract negotiations, including teaming agreements and pricing strategies.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in developing business within defense and intelligence sectors, with demonstrable and quantifiable success.
Strong solution-oriented technical expertise, evidenced by the ability to understand and drive technical solutions that align with customer strategies and acquisition plans.
Must have led and successfully won large competitive captures.
Certification or experience in Shipley Associates Capture and Proposal best practices is preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are crucial.
A Master's degree is highly preferred; a BA/BS degree is required.

Must possess extensive familiarity with COCOMS or Air Force customers, including current architectures and programs across government COCOMS and Air Force entities.

Current TS/SCI clearance and badge access to clients is strongly preferred.
