The Billing Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the revenue cycle management for EXOS Institute locations. This role will also be responsible for training new billing and client-facing positions on EXOS Institute PT business.
This position will involve scheduling, verifying insurance benefits, and managing client services at local institutes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately verify insurance benefits and complete verification summaries.
- Complete assigned MBO queues in pre-registration, charge review, and claim edits.
- Adhere to productivity and quality standards set forth by Administrative Leadership.
- Answer phone calls in a timely manner and assist or direct callers to the appropriate person or department.
- Document, track, and communicate concerns regarding work queues and insurance verification problems.
- Maintain active credentials to assigned payor portals.
- Manage A/R for multiple clinical locations.
- Be proficient in EMR platforms, particularly WebPT.
- Communicate with billing specialists at other clinical locations to ensure revenue cycle management is up to date.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years of experience in an administrator/front desk role in a medical office
- Previous physical therapy billing experience
- Excellent communication skills and organization
- Ability to coordinate internal and external communications
- Understanding of HIPAA Laws and Protected Health Information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Sheet/Docs
- Experience with electronic medical records systems preferred
- Experience working with former/current professional athletes
