Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Med Surg

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Med Surg to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a Travel Nurse RN Med Surg, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Job Summary:

This Travel Nurse RN Med Surg position is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, working 12-hour shifts, nights. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
  • Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment of the patient.
  • Educate patients on surgical procedures.
  • Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.
Requirements:
  • BLS, ACLS, NIH, 2 Years
  • Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
