At MRG Exams, we are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
This role is an exciting opportunity for healthcare professionals who are interested in performing independent medical assessments and working with a veteran-centric organization.
In this position, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and perform focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran. You will then document your findings electronically through the web portal.
Please note that as a Medical Examiner for Veterans, you will NOT make disability determinations. The United States Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations.
This role is unique in that it ONLY performs Disability Assessments on Veterans. You will NOT treat patients or prescribe medication in this position.
You can expect to perform Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day, working a set schedule during normal business hours and NEVER being on call.
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, and provide training and continued support to ensure your success in this role.
The ideal candidate will be proficiently trained in time management, able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings, and possess excellent communication skills.
We require a current, unrestricted NP or PA license, and proficiency in using a computer.
Benefits:
- Health Insurance options available
- Computer supplied
- Typical day: 3 to 5 patients a day
- Would you find it rewarding to serve the veteran community?
