About the Role

Tate, Inc. is expanding its operations and seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our new manufacturing facility in Russell County, Virginia.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organization, working with innovative raised access flooring, structural ceilings, and modular prefabricated aisle containment systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and machinery to ensure optimal production levels.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Support production operations by ensuring the safe and proper operation, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment.
  • Generate and complete work orders using a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Program and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives and Servo motor drives.
  • Work with PLC programs and robotics equipment to ensure seamless operation.
  • Utilize precision instruments, including meters, meggers, and Oscilloscopes, to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Read and understand Maintenance Work Orders and follow established safety procedures.
  • Mentor and train new maintenance employees to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Adhere to all Company safety rules and regulations, including LOTO and PPE requirements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification or equivalent experience in the mechanical field.
  • 4 years of prior maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of current OSHA, NEC, and ANSI standards.
  • Working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and integrity.
  • Able to work in a team environment and interact with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to perform maintenance functions above ground level.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop, or crouch for at least an 8-hour shift.
