Boise Cascade is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team.

We are a leading manufacturer of wood products and distributor of building materials with a rich history spanning over half a century. The successful candidate will be responsible for adhering to safe work practices, plant policies, and procedures, as well as performing machine troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and installing new electrical equipment and wiring. They will also repair or replace motors, controls, VFDs, and PLC components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Valid Oregon Manufacturing Plant Journeyman license or higher, or ability to obtain prior to hire
  • Excellent work and safety record
  • Ability to work at heights and in hot/dusty environments
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, swing, and graveyard, with required overtime
  • Comprehension and entry of detailed work orders into our CMMS
  • Experience in Field Prep, including shop math, basic measuring tools, print reading, and conduit bending
  • Experience using electrical testing equipment, such as oscilloscope, meters, and meggers
  • Ability to identify and control failed components, such as switches, relays, frequency drives, and motor starters

Preferred Qualifications:


• Knowledge in Allen Bradly PLC controls

• PLC programming skills

• Experience with AutoCAD

• Familiarity with PLC 5, ControlLogix, Flex Logix, and/or MicroLogix

• Familiarity with plywood and/or veneer plant machinery and equipment.
