Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding patient care and support to residents
  • Answer patient calls and determine the best course of action to assist them
  • Assist with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and using the toilet
  • Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores
  • Ensure patients receive appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Obtain information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient conditions and treatment plans
  • Measure and record food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output
  • Record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate
  • Examine patients to detect issues requiring medical care
  • Remind patients to take medications and nutritional supplements
  • Document observations of patient behavior and physical symptoms

Requirements:

  • State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • Nursing degree from a recognized CNA program
  • Ability to think and work independently and with direction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
