Job Summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a skilled Class A Truck Driver to join our team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering products to our customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload products from the delivery vehicle
  • Transport deliveries by driving assigned vehicles
  • Use hand trucks to move products from the delivery vehicle into the customer location
  • Accurately record delivery information, including operating a hand scanner and all company required documentation
  • Communicate delivery and customer issues to the proper authority
  • Deliver products to each designated stop following the stop sequence provided for the day
  • Unload products safely and stage them in the designated space
  • Check invoices for complete delivery and process paperwork and damaged merchandise if necessary
  • Collect payments if required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid U.S. driver's license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required
  • No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in the past three years, no driver's license suspensions in the past three years
  • One year multi-stop delivery experience required or 6 month local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience
  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations
  • Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Must pass pre-employment testing, including a background check
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in extreme weather conditions and to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs. of material on a consistent basis, 100 lbs. on an occasional basis, and repetitive motions.

This job requires the ability to pass a DOT physical and to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
