PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct a range of repairs and maintenance on various models of semi-trailers
  • Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
  • Execute brake system repairs and electrical wiring fixes
  • Handle light, door, leg, floor, suspension, and body repairs

In addition, you will:

  • Interpret work orders and technical manuals
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Provide service and customer support during field visits
  • Diagnose technical issues and determine effective solutions
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports

Knowledge, Education, and Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • A technical degree or certification is advantageous
  • Previous experience as a diesel mechanic is preferred
  • A Class A CDL is also preferred

Skills:

  • Welding expertise
  • Brake repair proficiency
  • Electrical repair capabilities

Abilities:

  • Utilize diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
  • Engage with web-based training and work order systems
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude
  • Maintain a clean driving record
  • Possess a personal set of tools
