About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team at SAS. As a key member of our analytics division, you will play a critical role in developing high-speed analytic sub-routines in C/C++/Python and collaborating with diverse analytics teams to build and transform research projects into production-level product features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop performant analytic routines in C/C++ and Python
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to build and transform research projects into production-level product features
  • Work closely with diverse analytics teams at SAS to identify and solve complex problems
  • Develop algorithms to exploit GPU and CPU resources
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, statistics, and optimization
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline
  • 8+ years of software development experience
  • Deep understanding of linear algebra and its applications in analytics
  • Experience writing performant analytic routines in C/C++ and Python
  • Experience with popular profiling tools such as VTune
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in Quantum Computing with an emphasis on optimization algorithms
  • Experienced with automated performance benchmarking strategies
  • Background in machine learning algorithms, including logistic regression, support vector machines, decision trees, and gradient boosting
