Job Overview

This is a PRN position for an Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist who will assist with all invasive cardiovascular procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The successful candidate will perform patient care responsibilities, including starting IVs, EKG monitoring, cardiac outputs, and prepping and draping patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with Cardiovascular Procedures: Assist physicians during procedures, remove arterial and venous sheaths from patients after procedures, and record and interpret hemodynamic data using Marquette monitors.
• Maintain Quality Control: Perform quality control functions of the X-ray console/equipment before procedures, run tapes, videodisc and 35mm film, and process all films.
• Educate and Train Staff: Participate in the orientation, training, and in-services for cardiovascular technologists and other staff in the department.
• Inventory and Supplies: Assist with inventory, ordering, and stocking of supplies and equipment for the Cath Lab.

Requirements

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, minimum of six months as a Cardiovascular Technologist, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or equivalent certifications.
• Skills and Qualifications: Appropriate IV insertion and EKG training, cardiology exposure or similar/related job experience preferred, Bachelor's of Science degree preferred.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $45,120 - $75,360 per year, based on industry standards and location.
